Computex 2026 is kicking off in Taipei, Taiwan this week, where Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, Intel, and other tech brands are announcing new laptops, handhelds, chips, and more.
Nvidia unveiled RTX Spark, its first family of consumer PC chips, arriving in laptops and mini PCs starting this fall. Intel is launching two new custom chips made for handheld gaming devices, the Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme, which will power the upcoming Acer Predator Atlas 8. Qualcomm is taking aim at the Mac Book Neo with its new entry-level Snapdragon C platform. Meanwhile, AMD’s responding to RAMaggedon by launching new versions of its old hardware and promising support for AM5 through 2029.

The common feature shared by all of the upcoming launches is that Arm-based Nvidia RTX Spark superchip, though several variations are in the pipeline. This will be Dell’s thinnest and lightest XPS to date, measuring 0.5 inches / 12.7mm thick and weighing just 2.2 pounds / 1kg. It’ll have just two USB-C ports and no 3.5mm audio jack, just like the last XPS 13 that cost much more. It sadly won’t even have a dedicated audio jack on higher end configurations set to arrive later with Intel Panther Lake chips and Thunderbolt 4 — which will go up to 32GB of RAM.

The Windows and Nvidia Ge Force accounts on X both posted “A new era of PC” earlier today, and now Arm has followed up with an identical post.
All three posts include coordinates pointing to where Computex is hosted in Taipei. Nvidia is holding a Computex keynote in Taipei at 8PM PT / 11PM ET on Sunday night, where it’s rumored to be announcing its new N1 and N1x laptop chips.

The Acer Swift Air 14. To compete against the Neo, you apparently have to cop another, more common Mac Book name.
Acer is aiming to take on the Mac Book Neo more directly with a new Swift Air 14, a new 14-inch laptop that starts at $699. The laptop will use Intel’s lower-cost Core Series 3 “Wildcat Lake” chips — either Core 5 or Core 7 models, both of which are six-core processors. It comes in green, pink, purple, and a gray-ish blue with an all-aluminum chassis. While the Neo is often criticized for its limited 8GB of RAM, the Swift Air will start with the same amount and be configurable with up to 16GB.
According to Acer’s specs, the Swift Air will be about the same weight as Apple’s Neo at 2.76 pounds / 1.25kg, but it will be a little thicker (12.9mm at its thinnest point to the Neo’s all-around 12.7mm). The Swift’s screen is just 1920 x 1200 resolution with 350 nits of brightness (lower res and dimmer than the Neo), but it supports a speedier 120 Hz refresh rate and Acer claims it will cover 100 percent of the s RGB color space. And if the Neo’s two USB-C ports aren’t enough for you, Acer has the edge with two faster Thunderbolt 4 ports and even a USB-A 3.2 — not bad.

Image: MSIMSI has unveiled a new Claw 8 handheld gaming PC ahead of the Computex 2026 show, and this model swaps out its predecessors’ Intel Lunar Lake mobile chip for a specialized handheld processor. MSI describes the Claw 8 EX AI Plus as being the “world’s first” handheld to contain the recently announced Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, which features an array of Xe 3 GPU cores to run games. We should note that the Acer Predator Atlas 8 and One XPlayer 3 gaming handhelds are also expected to launch with these chips, but MSI may be the first out of the gate. The Claw 8 EX AI Plus also has a single NVME M.2 SSD slot for gaming and data storage, and supports up to 32GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x memory, though MSI hasn’t specified what RAM configurations will be available. The launch date and price also haven’t been announced yet, but the previous MSI Claw 8 AI Plus was $1,000 when it launched last year. Read Article >

MSI has unveiled a new Claw 8 handheld gaming PC ahead of the Computex 2026 show, and this model swaps out its predecessors’ Intel Lunar Lake mobile chip for a specialized handheld processor. MSI describes the Claw 8 EX AI Plus as being the “world’s first” handheld to contain the recently announced Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, which features an array of Xe 3 GPU cores to run games.
We should note that the Acer Predator Atlas 8 and One XPlayer 3 gaming handhelds are also expected to launch with these chips, but MSI may be the first out of the gate. The Claw 8 EX AI Plus also has a single NVME M.2 SSD slot for gaming and data storage, and supports up to 32GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x memory, though MSI hasn’t specified what RAM configurations will be available. The launch date and price also haven’t been announced yet, but the previous MSI Claw 8 AI Plus was $1,000 when it launched last year.

Acer didn’t share its price or release date by the time I wrote these words, but Qualcomm says the platform unlocks roughly $300 laptops — despite RAMageddon. Corners cut, surely.
