The 2026 blockbuster movie season is almost upon us — and Tech Radar's entertainment team needs your help to determine what the most anticipated new film of the summer (or winter, for those of you who live south of the equator) will be!

A host of exciting new movies, covering myriad genres and varied age ranges, are set to hit theaters between now and the start of September. Indeed, with the first Star Wars film in almost seven years, 2026's first Marvel movie, and new sci-fi and historical epics from award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan, respectively, there'll be plenty to choose from in the weeks and months ahead.

Considering how diverse our reader base is, we know each and every one of you will know which movie you'll definitely be spending your hard-earned cash on. So, vote in our mid-2026 blockbuster film season poll below and tell us what your must-see movie is!

New movies: the most exciting films coming to theaters in May 2026

Here are the 4 4K Blu-rays I'm most excited for in April 2026

Here are my 4 most anticipated 4K Blu-rays of February 2026

Two things to bear in mind before you proceed: one, you can only vote once, so choose wisely. And, two, the poll will end on Wednesday, May 6, at 10:59pm PT, so make sure you cast your vote ASAP.

It's a lot tougher than you initially expected, isn't it? As a huge Spider-Man fan, I'd go for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is the first of two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) flicks that'll debut in theaters this year.

However, there are lots of other exciting options that deserve to be picked in May and June, too. Will you go all-in on The Mandalorian and Grogu in late May? How about the next installment in Pixar's long-running Toy Story film franchise? Or, what about plumping for DC over Marvel and checking out Supergirl?

Spider-Man 4 notwithstanding, July will also give us the previously mentioned offerings from Spielberg and Nolan in Disclosure Day and The Odyssey — will you select one of that pair? Or will you wait all the way until August to catch the latest Insidious film, or another animated-live-action hybrid movie in Coyote Vs Acme? The choice, dear reader, is all yours — and, once you've picked one, let us know in the comments, or on our social media channels, why you selected it.

The above options aren't the only silver screen features due to come out before September. So, if there's another movie you're desperate to see more than the 17 mentioned above, dive into the comments section to reveal why it's your #1 choice.

For more on three films I'm particularly looking forward to, find out everything we know so far about The Mandalorian and Grogu, get the full lowdown on Supergirl, and learn what's been revealed about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
