Watch Half Man on BBC i Player (FREE) | HBO Max (USA)

Abroad? Use Nord VPN to watch Half Man anywhere (75% off)

Half Man premieres Thursday, April 23 (US) / April 24 (UK)

Richard Gadd clearly has no interest in making gentle, easy-to-watch TV, following up his massive Netflix hit Baby Reindeer with Half Man – another drama seeking to get under its viewers' skin.

Gadd's much-anticipated follow-up to Baby Reindeer sees the writer and creator again cast in the lead role. But his character here couldn't be much more different to wannabe comedian Donny; this time he plays intimidating criminal Ruben, and shares top billing with Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) as his half-brother Niall.

As seen in the Half Man trailer (which you can watch below), the two have a love-hate relationship. Ruben is the volatile ying to Niall's more timid yang, with traumas, friction and conflict from their past coming between them.

You can find out what we thought in our review, but expect another exploration of 21st century masculinity from Gadd's six-part series. Without further ado, here's how to watch Half Man online and for free.

BBC One and the BBC i Player streaming website and app will show every episode of Half Man absolutely FREE.

The first episode goes out one day later than in the US, hitting BBC i Player at 6am on Friday, April 24.

What if you're abroad? Nord VPN will unlock your free Half Man streams – more on that below.

A VPN is a handy piece of software that can make your device appear as if it's back in your home country (e.g. UK), thereby letting you unlock your usual streaming services. The best VPN right now? We recommend Nord VPN – it does everything and comes with a 75% discount.

Not having a VPN is like leaving your front door wide open in a busy city – anyone can walk right in and take a peek.

Tech Radar regularly reviews all the biggest and best VPN providers and Nord VPN is our #1 choice.

  1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we've said, Nord VPN is our favorite.

  2. Choose the location you wish to connect to in the VPN app. For instance, if you're visiting the US and want to view your usual UK service, you'd select a United Kingdom server from the list.

  3. Sit back and enjoy the show. Head to BBC i Player or your usual domestic streaming service and watch Half Man.

Half Man premieres on the HBO Max streaming service with the first episode landing on Thursday, April 23. The further five episodes will go out one at a time on the following Thursdays.

Away when Half Man is on? You can still access your usual streaming services from anywhere by using a VPN.

Viewers in the UK can watch Half Man for FREE – both online and on TV.

Episodes will be released weekly on Fridays 24 at 6am from April 24 on the BBC i Player platform.

If you're outside the UK but want to tap into your usual coverage, check out Nord VPN and follow the instructions above.

Prefer to watch on traditional TV? Episode 1 goes out on BBC One at 10.40pm on Tuesday, April 28. The BBC is a free service in the UK, although in order to watch it you need to be in possession of a valid TV Licence, as this covers digital content consumption, too.

In Canada, Half Man will be streamed by Crave. Episodes will go out on Thursdays from April 23.

Crave plans start from $11.99 per month, with pricier tiers available if you want to ditch ads or bundle in other platforms like Disney+ or TSN.

Away from Canada now? Use Nord VPN to watch your usual streaming service when overseas.

Half Man will go out on the Stan streaming platform in Australia. Episodes will arrive on Saturdays, starting April 25.

Stan subscriptions cost from $12 a month for a Basic plan, with incremental increases if you want to add HD/4K quality and additional devices.

Outside Australia? Aussies away from home can use a VPN to unblock Stan and watch Half Man as they would at home.

Half Man will premiere in the US and Canada on Thursday, April 23 and continue weekly for six episodes.

In the UK, episodes will arrive a day later starting from Friday, April 24, while they'll land on Saturdays in Australia.

Half Man is set to consist of six episodes, which will premiere in North America on the following schedule:
