US Open 2026: Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21 | 6.35am ET / 11.35am BST

Watch US Open 2026 live streams, as the tournament returns to the setting of some of its most infamous scenes: Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. It's here that Brooks Koepka won out with a score of 1-over in 2018, and that Retief Goosen's 4-under topped the charts in 2004 – after the seventh green had to be hand-watered mid-round.

The links-style course on Long Island has drawn the ire of numerous greats, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Rory Mc Ilroy among them, because it's exposed to the winds and its greens are fast, firm and unforgiving. Seeing how many of the game's top stars threw their toys out of the pram over the setup of last month's PGA Championship, we'll be surprised if we don't see a tantrum or two this weekend.

That said, tournament organizers have decided not to narrow the fairways as they normally do, which should benefit big, sometimes wayward , hitters Mc Ilroy, Cameron Young and Bryson De Chambeau in particular.

This will be Scottie Scheffler's first attempt at the career Grand Slam, which has only been achieved by six other golfers, and the final round just so happens to fall on his 30th birthday.

JJ Spaun drained a 64-foot birdie putt on the 18th to beat Robert Mac Intyre to the US Open title last year, while Koepka edged Tommy Fleetwood by a single stroke on the tournament's last visit to Shinnecock. While all around him lost their heads, Aaron Rai held his nerve to conquer the difficult PGA Championship setup. They'll all be worth keeping an eye on this weekend.
