I'm very happy with my TV right now, but if I were looking to upgrade to the largest possible display I could find without spending an astronomical amount of money, then this £1,100 saving on the Hisense E7Q 98-inch QLED TV at AO would be the one.
It's just about the cheapest near-100-inch TV I've seen, and most surprisingly of all, it's actually a very solid display overall. Usually, these sorts of deals on giant TVs are reserved for sluggish and low-quality options.
However, the Hisense E7Q boasts a bright and vibrant QLED display that offers deep blacks and rich colours, with Dolby Vision support to really bring out the best visuals possible. It also sports a dynamic refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, which is great for providing smooth visuals and giving you a responsive experience on current-gen games consoles.
It's a heck of an investment, sure, but if you simply want the biggest display you can find for a good price, this is hard to beat.
This is a ridiculous amount of screen real estate for the price, but it would be one heck of a way to watch the World Cup. The Hisense E7Q isn't a rubbish TV, either, as it boasts a bright and vibrant QLED display, Dolby Vision support for improved visuals, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz for a smooth and responsive image — especially when gaming. Sure, it's probably overkill for many, but you'll struggle to find a better deal on such a ginormous and surprisingly good TV.
Overall, the Hisense E7Q is a strong all-rounder for shows, movies, games and sports. The latter is especially good to know with the World Cup a matter of weeks away, as I can't think of a better way to absorb all the action with a wall-spanning TV like this. Unless going to a Boxpark and getting covered in beer after every England goal sounds like fun to you?
If this Hisense is still a bit too big (or too pricey) for you, then I've dropped in a few other excellent TV deals that are available now at a variety of retailers.
Samsung's lineup of Crystal UHD TVs is less feature-rich compared to the pricier OLED and QLED displays, but they are a capable and affordable option for general everyday viewing. This 75-inch model is now available at a tempting low price in the latest Amazon sale if you don't need all the fancy features of a premium TV. For the money, you get a large and modern TV that supports high-quality 4K resolution and all the most popular streaming apps.
Here's a quality and good value big screen TV from Hisense. The QLED displays ensure vibrant colours and excellent brightness, even in a brighter room, while 4K resolution support gives you top-tier picture quality. As far as large TVs go, this is one of the better options I've spotted in the Currys sale that balances price and features really well if you're on a tighter budget.
As the successor to the excellent LG B4, the B5 is one of the best cheap OLED TVs you can buy. This 48-inch model offers a good option for most spaces and room sizes if you don't want the screen to dominate the room. Picture quality is excellent, with impressive brightness, strong contrast, and rich blacks for general viewing, while the gaming features are top-tier for a smooth and responsive experience on PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox consoles.
LG has been crushing it in the world of TVs over the last few years, and its latest C5 is another strong contender for one of the best OLED TVs you can buy right now. This latest version boasts the same fantastic contrast, rich blacks, impressive brightness and vivid colours of previous models in the range, making it ideal for all sorts of viewing. It's also a top TV for PS5 and Xbox Series X, with support for a 120 Hz refresh rates and minimal input lag to get the smoothest and most responsive gaming experience.
There's a small saving on the 65-inch version of the previous generation premium OLED TV from Samsung in the Currys bank holiday sale. It's the TV we awarded a full five stars in our Samsung S95F review for its excellent overall picture quality, brightness levels and vivid colors. An anti-reflection screen means it's well-suited to bright rooms and multiple viewing angles, while gamers will appreciate the four HDMI ports, VRR and low input lag for a smooth and responsive experience on current-gen consoles.
