Memorial Day sales will be here before you know it as we inch closer to the official date of Monday, May 26. Memorial Day honors the men and women who died while serving in the military, and it's also the unofficial start to summer.
Retailers celebrate the long holiday weekend by offering massive discounts on everything from mattresses, furniture, and appliances, to TVs, laptops, headphones, and more. As Tech Radar's deals editor who has over eight years of experience covering Memorial Day sales, I've created this guide with everything you need to know about this year's shopping event.
While Memorial Day is still weeks away, we should start to see early sales pop up from mattress brands at the beginning of May, and retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Best Buy will also kick off early sales with big discounts on major appliances.
I'll update this guide with new early deals as soon as they become available, but in the meantime, you can shop today's best sales and deals below, which are a preview of what we'll see on Memorial Day.

You can also save up to $500 instantly on select appliances and score free shipping.
Over 10,000 people have already purchased the Ring Battery Doorbell this month, and Amazon has the smart camera on sale for $79.99. The smart doorbell is easy to install, features a built-in battery, and lets you see, hear, and speak to anyone from your phone or computer.

The viral Beckham Hotel Collection pillows are always a top seller during Amazon holiday sales, and the queen-size set is on sale for $59.99. The queen-size pillows have over 240,000 positive reviews and are the number-one best-selling pillow on Amazon's site.
Don’t underestimate its size (and price point, for that matter), because this tiny security camera boasts a hi-res 2K camera and a spotlight for nighttime visibility. Thanks to Amazon's early spring sale, you can get the newly released security camera for a record-low price of $25.99.
You can get the best-selling Insignia 55-inch F50 Series 4K TV for an incredible price of $199.98. The Insignia F50 Series TV features 4K HD resolution, DTS Studio Sound, smart capabilities with Fire OS, and a voice remote with hands-free Alexa, so you can use your voice to control your TV.
Amazon is offering a $100 discount on the Apple Watch Series 11. The thinnest Apple Watch yet, with a wraparound LTP3 OLED display, it's a great-looking watch with Apple Intelligence-powered smarts and a boosted battery compared to previous Apple Watches, clocking in at 24 hours of average use.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday that honors the men and women who died while serving in the military. It's always held on the last Monday in May, and this year, Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 26, with the holiday weekend kicking off on Friday, May 23.
While Memorial Day proper is on Monday, May 26, sales will start trickling in at the beginning of the month. Mattress brands are the first to kick off sales in early May, and home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home Depot typically launch official sales shortly after.
If you're looking for Memorial Day sales from big retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, they'll wait for the week before or the holiday weekend to begin their official sale events.
Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, so you can score discounts on seasonal items like patio furniture, grills, lawn mowers, and gardening tools. Memorial Day sales also mean savings on big-ticket items like mattresses, major appliances, and furniture, with retailers offering record-low prices.
You'll also find Memorial Day deals on tech gadgets, including TVs, Apple devices, headphones and laptops, as well as kitchen appliances, vacuums, home items and clothing. You can expect discounts from brands like Ninja, Samsung, LG, Dyson, Dell, and Bissell, among others.
