My top half-price earbuds in Amazon's Spring Deal Days? Easy, the 5-star Nothing Ear (a) — now just £49.99!

I'll come straight to the point: even at their launch price of £99, I knew the Nothing Ear (a) earbuds were a five-star product. Testing headphones and earbuds is literally my job, and this set knocked it out the park.

And this Amazon Spring Deal Days price drop makes them an absolute no-brainer — because it makes them available at half that asking fee!

Right now they're only £49.99 in the UK (was £99) at Amazon, and I've never seen their asking fee dip below £59 before now, so this is huge.

And the good news keeps on rolling, because the deal applies to the black, white and even my favourite yellow finish, and that's not something I usually see – hurrah!

Why pick them up today? Because despite the arrival of the newer Nothing Ear (3), these much cheaper earbuds are still where the smart money goes, in my opinion. They launched in April 2024, which is the only reason they've recently been knocked off the top spot in my guide to the best budget earbuds you can buy. Today's best Amazon Spring Deal Days cheap earbuds deal

OK, so my five-star Nothing Ear (a) review is the place for the full scoop on the fun, energetic sound of these buds — but look, this is a lesser-known deals extravaganza and we're not sure how long it'll last, so let's not wait around. Amazon lists a recent price drop to £89 as their RRP, but note that they launched at £99, so the saving really is huge. What you also need to know is: these great little buds have effective ANC, a compact design and an eye-catching look. Yes, they've been superseded by the newer Ear (3), but for me the smart money stays here (did I mention there's LDAC support?). Thanks to this deal, they're now £10 cheaper than they've ever been, too! Quick!

If you're not too familiar with the Ear (a) or just can't make sense of Nothing's confusing naming strategies, the Ear (a) are a more affordable version of the firm's impressive Nothing Ear wireless earbuds (which launched at the same time, in summer 2024) and have since been superseded by the still-great-but-much-more-expensive Nothing Ear (3).

Nothing recently told me that the '(a)' suffix denotes a product from its mid-range lineup in 2026 (rather than something 'Pro' or from its budget CMF by Nothing sub-brand), but the current pricing of the Nothing Ear (a) is hardly mid-range money…

And while Nothing's newer flagship buds are good, I still think the Ear (a) are the better buy in 2026: to prove it, I gave Ear (3) four stars under intense review but awarded the Ear (a) buds the full five stars.

While I'm here, there are a few other cheap earbuds deals I spotted while having a looksie, in case they'd suit you more. Enjoy — and happy shopping!

Honestly, you won't find this kind of higher-resolution Bluetooth codec support anywhere else for this money. To explain, they support both Sony's proprietary LDAC and Qualcomm's apt X Lossless. This whopping 50% saving on earbuds that arrived in February 2025 (see our full Earfun Air Pro 4 review for everything we loved, plus one or two things we didn't love) is absolutely worth a look, if it's earbuds you chiefly need.

These 2024-issue wireless earbuds were already excellent value, but at 43% off, they're the definition of a steal. Not only do the Earfun Air 2 NC offer excellent audio quality, but they also have good ANC, which is virtually unheard of for this kind of money. If pushed, I'd still nudge you towards the Pro 4 above, but if this is as far as your budget goes, I'd still recommend these – and our Earfun Air 2 NC review is the place to get all the information on them (reminder though: you don't have much time).

Yes, you can get Sony's affordable noise-cancelling wireless earbuds for less than £70 in the October Prime Day sale – talk about a bargain! In my Sony WF-C710N review, I heaped praise on these buds for their bolstered battery life, fantastic sound quality, and upgraded ANC. At this price point, you'll struggle to find a model that's much better — unless it's the Nothing Ear (a) at the top of this piece.
