The ongoing RAM crisis has sent gaming laptop prices skyrocketing in recent months, but it's not all bad news, as the annual Memorial Day sales are offering some surprisingly good discounts today. In fact, retailers like Best Buy have some of the best deals I've seen since Black Friday today.

I've been scanning through hundreds of listings to find the best discounts for our readers, and interestingly, I've found good options on everything from super-budget machines to stunning high-end models. In some cases, we're seeing price cuts in excess of $500, which is impressive considering RAM prices have massively hit gaming laptops.

I've looked through all of Walmart's gaming laptop deals today, and this HP Omen 16 is definitely a highlight. You're getting an RTX 5050 and Intel Ultra 5 chipset here for a decent price, and these specs should set you up nicely if you're just looking to cover the basics. Not only that, but you also get a 1TB SSD, which is a nice amount for most modern games.

Newegg's best gaming laptop deal, in my opinion, is this Lenovo Legion 5i - which is a popular model due to its high-end OLED display. You're definitely paying a little extra for that premium feature here because you don't get a full 32GB of RAM out of the box. That will reduce this machine's headroom a little, although you will still get good performance here.

Deals on Alienware gaming laptops aren't super rare, but it's rare to see a machine with an RTX 5060 graphics card for this cheap. With such a card and a Core 7 chipset, this 16-inch Aurora model is a fantastic choice for everyday gaming. While you usually pay a premium for the Alienware brand, this particular listing is competitive with other RTX 5060 gaming laptop deals right now — and you get 32GB of RAM right out of the box.

Best Buy's cheapest RTX 5070 gaming laptop is this Asus TUF A16 — a deal that's easily one of the best bang for the buck options on the market. You should get great performance here, although the TUF series doesn't tend to be as premium in terms of display specs or design as some other Asus models.

With 32GB of RAM and a decent Ryzen 7 chipset, this machine is still plenty powerful for most games, so it's definitely worth considering if you'd prefer a higher-end display.

You get high-end specs, a 240 Hz OLED display, and a decent price cut with this Acer Predator Helios Neo at Best Buy. While not a cheap machine by any stretch, this is definitely a good value considering it should last you a few good years. With an RTX 5070 Ti, you've got plenty of headroom to play all the latest titles with great performance right out of the box.
