Wall-E and Eve are greeting at Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel for a limited time

It hints at Disney’s next wave of character robotics and interactive experiences

Space might be dominating headlines thanks to the Artemis II mission, but here on Earth, Disney is quietly pushing forward with something just as futuristic: real-world robots you can actually meet.

We’re also just a few weeks out from Earth Day, and it’s, in fact, National Robotics Week — making the timing even more fitting.

So it’s only natural that Disney is spotlighting Wall-E and Eve in a pretty fun way. The pair, whom we first met in the 2008 film Wall-E, have been enjoying a bit of a resurgence, with even Lego dropping a fresh set to build both. And thanks to the Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, you’ll have the chance to meet the duo this month.

Wall-E and Eve are greeting guests—in honor of Earth Month — exclusively on Wednesdays in April 2026: April 8, 15, 22, and 29. I’d expect a long line. Wall-E —especially alongside Eve — is still a relatively rare sight from Disney, making this a notable opportunity for fans. In 2025, only Wall-E was spotted at the same hotel.

More importantly, this isn’t just a one-off meet-and-greet — it’s another signal that Disney is scaling toward more interactive, character-driven robotics experiences.

That direction closely aligns with what Kyle Laughlin, SVP of R&D, Technology, and Engineering at Walt Disney Imagineering, told Tech Radar ahead of Olaf’s debut at Disneyland Paris’ Adventure World: “We don’t envision just one robot from a franchise, but an entire world populated with characters you know and love.”

In other words, more robots — and more opportunities for guests to interact with them — are likely on the way. Considering the meet-and-greet with Wall-E and Eve is at the Pixar Place Hotel, it doesn’t require park admission or a ticket, though demand will likely be high.

From videos shared by Disneyland on Instagram — and from lucky guests who’ve already seen the pair — Wall-E rolls himself in, while Eve appears to move just as smoothly as you’d expect from the film. It’s a sleek effect that’s pulled off quite nicely, and both robots are impressively well done.

While Eve and Wall-E hold hands in the middle, the outer limbs on both do move, and Wall-E’s entire head — as well as its eyes — has mobility to convey emotion. Similarly, Eve’s eyes appear to be LED-based and can change on the fly. Of course, you might hear them speaking as they roll by or when you get up close to say hi.

Allie Kawamoto, Hotel Experience Integration Manager for Disneyland Resort, told Tech Radar, “We are excited to celebrate Earth Month and welcome Wall•E and Eve to Pixar Place Hotel on Wednesdays this April! This is a great addition for guests who are staying at the hotel or stopping by for a quick hello.”

It’s a nice way to celebrate Earth Day — and Earth Month at large — and it’s a free experience for anyone who can make it to the Pixar Place Hotel.

I also hope it’s a continued resurgence in Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Live Entertainment, and Disney at large, putting more of its most impressive robots and animatronics out in the wild for these unique interactions with guests.

We’ve seen Olaf debut at Disneyland Paris, with Hong Kong Disneyland expected later this year, and a further tease from Imagineering that the walking, talking snowman, as well as other characters, would be seen at other parks, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Additionally, the BDX Droids have been around the world — starting with Disneyland in California, then Disneyland Paris, Disney World in Florida, and then on the high seas aboard Disney Cruise Line.

I’m particularly excited and bullish that Disney’s bringing out Wall-E and Eve, and hopeful that we might see more arrivals of previous robots and entirely new ones as the work within Imagineering continues to ramp up.
