The Batman Part 2's first cast members have been revealed
Six actors are now confirmed to be part of the highly-anticipated sequel
Its director has said more announcements will be made later today (May 14)
The Batman Part 2's first cast members have been announced — but there's still no word on who the highly-anticipated sequel's main villain will be.
In a series of posts uploaded to his personal X/Twitter account yesterday (May 13), director Matt Reeves confirmed the first six stars who'll be part of his next Batman movie. The reveals, though, aren't all that surprising, because they're actors who were always expected to return, such as Robert Pattinson's eponymous crimefighter, or individuals who also appeared in The Batman and had already confirmed they'd be back for round 2.

Regardless, for those of you who don't want to scroll through Reeves' X/Twitter timeline, here's the confirmed cast for The Batman 2 so far:

Thankfully, the wait won't be a long one to find out who'll be joining the above collective in Reeves' forthcoming DC comic book film.
Indeed, after the aforementioned reveals, Reeves signed off for the night with one final tweet that simply reads "more... tomorrow" — tomorrow, of course, now being today (May 14). So, we can expect even more cast announcements in the very, very near future.
What can we expect from The Batman 2's next round of cast announcements?

For starters, two actors who are, or have been, part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Last December, news broke that Scarlett Johansson had reportedly signed on to appear in The Batman Part 2. Less than a month later, another MCU Stalwart in Sebastian Stan was also said to be part of The Batman 2's cast.
Who are the pair playing? Rumors abound that Stan is on board as Harvey Dent, aka the Gotham City lawyer who becomes the villainous Two-Face. Meanwhile, Johansson is believed to be portraying Dent's wife, aka Gilda Gold. However, some fans have theorized that she could be playing anyone from Poison Ivy and Vicky Vale, to Andrea Beaumont and Talia al Ghul.
Then there's the big question mark over The Batman Part II's primary antagonist.

It's possible that Stan's Dent could be its main villain, but that's only likely to be the case if he becomes his criminal alter-ego at some point in the film. Meanwhile, after Reeves revealed the first behind-the-scenes images for The Batman 2, fan hopes grew that Victor Fries, aka Mister Freeze, would be the next member of The Dark Knight's stuffed rogues gallery to battle Pattinson's titular character.
As for other returning faces, I wouldn't rule out cameos from Paul Dano's Riddler or Barry Keoghan's Joker — both of whom appeared in The Batman. I guess we'll have to wait for Reeves to take to social media once more, though, to find out who's officially joining Pattinson, Wright, and company in one of next year's most exciting new movies.
