I'd characterize the A5 as a solid home office PC for business and productivity tasks. In our review, we highlighted its "thoughtful design that ticks most of the general usage boxes."

The Geekom A7 Max is a high-quality mini PC build around the mini powerhouse of the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS. It's an ideal machine for a range tasks like coding and running Office software.

What we really loved about the A7 Max was the sheer connectivity. Port selection includes dual 2.5 Gb E LAN, dual USB4 40gbps ports and dual HDMI outputs, making it a flexible choice for desktops.

However, we found that the single memory module limits its potential. Now, that might not be an issue for a lot of everyday users, but for those that need to increase performance, we absolutely recommend upgrading that 16GB RAM for more efficiency (it supports up to 64GB).

While the A7 Max deal is a great buy, the Geekom A9 Max 2026 Edition is the top choice for anyone who wants maximum performance, with both the HX 370 and HX 470 models getting a discount in the Geekom sale. It supports upgrades and e GPUs too, for those looking to boost the mini PC further.

After testing out this newly launched machine, we called it "exceptionally powerful," and found it to be a great pick for heavy-process workloads without requiring a full-blown desktop workstation. We scored it 4.5 stars in our review, with a Highly Recommended award.

Meanwhile, the Geekom A5 remains one of those perennial favorites of ours. It's not a top-spec machine, but we've reviewed the latest model and for office tasks, web browsing, and all the basics general users need from a mini PC, it gets everything right for the price.
